Holy shit. I can't believe it's been three days since the last Quack Fix. I mean, all things considered, three days does seem like a reasonable amount of tim... AAAAAND I JUST SHIT MY PANTS AGAIN. I guess that makes me a coach in the Pac-12.
In the news...
FOOTBALL
- I guess we hired some guys to run our offense over the weekend. No big names, just ONE OF THE TOP RECRUITERS IN THE COUNTRY! Willie Taggart managed to land Mario Cristobal as co-OC. No big. Also added over the weekend was Dan Reaves, former co-OC at USF. It appears Coach T. will split running and passing game coordination duties like he did in South Florida. Pants. Shitted.
- Oregon's new coaching staff also flipped a big QB commit from Arizona in 4* Braxton Burmeister. He's already signed financial aid papers for early enrollment, so that bodes well for Florida.
- The coaches at Oregon are getting everyone fired up, even at MBB games. This weekend they decided to have a little basketball scrimmage during halftime. This is the kind of cool shit that keeps the Ducks in the news and will hopefully earn us a late flip.
- An Oregon legend is moving on to coach with new HC Justin Wilcox at Cal. Steve Greatwood has done an incredible job coaching our offensive line for decades. We should all wish him the best of luck.
- Not everything is roses and sunshine in recruiting. In-state recruit Demetrius Douglas flipped his commitment from Oregon to Minnesota over the weekend. It was a little predictable that we'd lose at least one commit at DB, especially with the possibility of regaining a commitment from Lenior.
- I know it's already been posted, but Grief did a nice piece detailing why Oregon's 2016 FB season fell apart.
NON-FOOTBALL
- Oregon pounded the Beavers in the 347th Civil War game. It always feels great to beat up Little Brother.
- Oregon's WBB team beat USC but dropped one to UCLA. The Women of Oregon (12-5 overall, 2-3 Pac-12) are having an up-and-down season thus far, but stealing one from USC has to feel good.
