Oregon ranked No. 13 in AP Top 25 after sweeping Huskies and Cougs

The Ducks continue to climb in the rankings.

NCAA Basketball: Oregon at Washington Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Oregon men’s basketball team continued their hot streak last week, defeating Washington and Washington State on the road, improving to 15-2 on the year and 4-0 in Pac-12 play. The Ducks have now won 13 games in a row.

So, it’s only fitting that Oregon checks into this week’s AP Top 25 at No. 13 overall, up two spots from last week. The Ducks are the second-highest ranked team in the Pac-12, behind UCLA who comes in at No. 4 this week, holding their same ranking from last week.

Elsewhere around the conference, Arizona climbed one spot up to No. 16, while USC held the final spot in the poll at No. 25. No other Pac-12 schools received votes.

Baylor is the new No. 1 team in the nation after Villanova lost to Butler on Wednesday, their first loss of the season. Baylor and No. 5 Gonzaga are the only two undefeated teams left in the nation, both at 15-0.

The Ducks play just once this week, taking on Oregon State Saturday night at Matthew Knight Arena, so depending on what happens around them, it likely won't be a big shift in next week’s poll if Oregon wins their 14th game in a row.
