The 2017-18 Oregon basketball team is nearing the start of their season. After an incredible 33-6 run to the Final Four last year, Duck head coach Dana Altman wants to continue taking positive steps as the program nears “Empire” status.

ATQ is amped to get you ready for the college basketball season ahead! We will provide the fans with more coverage on Duck basketball than any other Oregon-based outlet. Not to mention, we’ll bring you behind the scenes for every moment.

Don’t worry, even if your favorite Duck has already left the basketball program, we will be keeping track of everyone with our monthly UO pro reports.

“I'm just so proud of those guys,” said Altman. “We've got four guys now -- Chris and Jordan are with Golden State, Dillon is with Memphis, and Tyler is with Atlanta. Joe, who played for us a couple years ago, Joe Young, is with Indiana. Going to have a lot of teams to follow this year. Hopefully, the guys will do very well.”

The Ducks will participate in an exhibition game against Northwest Christian on Monday, October 30 from Eugene. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network.

Dana Altman understands he has his hands full entering the 2017-18 season. With key departures to four of five Oregon starters, including their two best players off the bench, it could be a bumpy road to begin the year. Yet, nobody has their team playing better than Altman by the end of every regular season.

Oregon will open their regular season schedule from the luxurious Matthew Knight Arena vs Coppin State on Friday, November 10 at 9:00 p.m. PT. The Ducks currently have the longest active home win-streak (42) in the country.

The next 25 days will be jam-packed with Oregon basketball prep, including player profiles, predictions, previews, interviews, breakdowns and a few history lessons. Every day, we will have something new as we count you down to the tip off of ‘17.

Unfortunately, ESPN cancelled their annual 24-hour college basketball marathon this year. But don’t lose hope just yet, I still plan to give you 24 continual hours of Duck basketball coverage. Let’s just say, the Red Bull will be flowing heavily that evening. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

First things first, we will have an extended look at the man behind the O on Wednesday. Head coach Dana Altman sits down with us for an extended interview as he prepares for his eighth season at Oregon.

Ready or not? We’re less than a month away from tipping off the 2017-18 season!
