EUGENE, Oregon — It’s official; true freshman quarterback Braxton Burmeister will start for the Oregon Ducks vs No. 11 Washington State on Saturday.
Justin Herbert suffered a fracture in his collarbone last week vs Cal. Then his backup Taylor Alie exited with a head issue, leaving the door open for the true freshman.
Last season in Pullman, Herbert made his first collegiate appearance as a true freshman. This season, Burmeister will test his skills against a tough Cougar defense.
Kickoff is about 30 minutes away. If you’re not attending, you can watch on Fox.
