The Oregon Ducks dropped from their top five spot in last week’s AP Top 25, but not by much. In the latest edition of the weekly poll, Oregon checks in at No. 7 in the nation, remaining in the top 10 after splitting their road trip down to Los Angeles.
The Ducks lost to UCLA on Thursday, which was a tough pill to swallow considering they led by as many as 19 points. However, Oregon recovered and defeated USC at the Galen Center on Saturday in a contest that remained close for a while.
Arizona is now the top ranked team in the Pac-12 as they moved up from No. 9 to No. 5 overall. The Wildcats are also atop the conference with a 12-1 record in Pac-12 play.
UCLA is right between Arizona and Oregon at No. 6, moving up four spots after their win against the Ducks at home.
Like last week, those three teams are the only ones in the conference ranked in the top 25. USC received 16 votes, putting them just inside the top 30 in the poll if you include all the schools that received votes.
The top three teams in the nation are the same as last week with Gonzaga at No. 1, Villanova at No. 2 and Kansas at No. 3.
