At A Glance
- No. 13 Oregon Ducks (19-3, 8-1 Pac-12) — UO suffered its first loss of Pac-12 play, falling 74-65 at Colorado on Saturday. Freshman Payton Pritchard (*see below) scored a career-best 19 points, going 5-of-9 from distance, while Dylan Ennis added 10 points to round out the Ducks’ leading scorers. Even with the loss, UO ranks ninth in country with a 15.5 scoring margin… Five UO players are averaging double-digit scoring — Dillon Brooks (13.4ppg), Chris Boucher (12.8), Tyler Dorsey (12.2), Ennis (11.5) and Jordan Bell (11.0). Still, none of them are in the Pac-12’s top 20 in scoring, a testament to the team’s depth… Defensively, UO leads the nation with 162 blocks, thanks to big men Boucher (56, 13th nationally) and Bell (47, 34th nationally)… UO’s winning streak at MKA stands at 38 games, the longest in program history and the second longest active streak in the country behind Kansas (51)… UO is 19-3 overall for the first time since 2006-07, and a win against ASU would give the Ducks their best record since 1937-38.
- Arizona State Sun Devils (10-12, 3-6 Pac-12) — ASU has dropped five of its past six, most recently falling at home to Washington State on Sunday, 91-83. Tra Holder poured in a career-high 27 points on 57 percent shooting, as the Sun Devils surrendered 22 fast-break points for the Cougs to notch their fourth win in Pac-12 play… Torian Graham (18.7ppg) and Holder (17.7ppg) are second and third in conference scoring behind Washington’s Markelle Fultz (23.2ppg)… Obi Oleka is one of four Pac-12 players to average a double-double with 13.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game… The Sun Devils have been an offensive-driven team, as they’re ranked 27th of 347 teams in scoring offense (81.7ppg), yet 337th in scoring defense (83.7ppg).
- The Ducks are 38-42 against the Sun Devils all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1960-61. UO has taken seven of the past eight, most recently topping ASU on the road last season, 91-74. In that game, Boucher led the Ducks across the board in points (26), rebounds (10) and blocks (7).
