On Saturday afternoon, the Ducks applied a cheat code and shot 16-of-25 from 3-point range en route to a 85-58 win over No. 5 Arizona. That extended Oregon’s home winning streak to 40 games, which is now the longest active streak in the nation after Iowa State upset Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Ducks were rewarded handsomely in this week’s AP Top 25, climbing eight spots all the way up to No. 5 in the nation. That was the biggest jump from last week for any team in the top 25.
Gonzaga remains No. 1 and is still undefeated at 24-0. Villanova climbed two spots to No. 2. Kansas, despite losing at home, held onto their spot at No. 3. Louisville moved into the top five at No. 4.
As for the rest of the Pac-12, Arizona dropped down to No. 9 while UCLA moved up one spot to No. 10, giving the conference three teams in the top 10, which is the most in the nation. USC and California also received votes.
