BREAKING: Jordan Bell Traded from Chicago Bulls to Golden State Warriors

The champions reload with their ideal prospect

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Midwest Regional Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls have traded the rights of Jordan Bell to the Golden State Warriors. Originally, Chicago selected Bell with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft.

Last week, I predicted the champs as a top location for Bell via Twitter. Unfortunately, I am a diehard Bulls fan so this is gut-wrenching. I was having grand dreams of a Chicago title on the back of the Long Beach product.

The craziest part is the defending champions didn’t even have a draft pick this year. They went out of their way to trade into the 2017 NBA Draft just for Jordan Bell. That should tell everyone all they need to know. Plain and simple, 29 teams swung and missed on Thursday night.

Regardless, now Bell is in a better situation for himself. This is bad news for the league. Scouts had been toying with the idea of Bell starting with the Warriors big four.

Bell idolizes Draymond Green and has modeled his game after him. To play alongside him and learn from him will be a career-changer for Oregon’s former star.
