Oregon’s Jordan Bell, Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey will work out for the Portland Trail Blazers prior to the 2017 NBA Draft on June 22 in Brooklyn.
Portland has three first round picks in the NBA Draft. The Blazers have the No. 15, No. 20 and No. 26 overall selections. Rip City does NOT possess a second round pick. Can you imagine the Duck trifecta playing together professionally in Portland of all places? One can dream.
All five Ducks heading toward a professional career in basketball have worked out for individual organizations. Chris Boucher and Dylan Ennis have found the road a bit trickier with their situations. Yet, Bell, Brooks and Dorsey have drawn interest from a number of teams.
Bell is the hot ticket amid GM’s and scouts right now. He has already worked out for the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets to name a few.
However, more teams are increasingly intrigued by the day. Over the last few hours, Bell has been invited to work out for the Utah Jazz and Trail Blazers. The Atlanta Hawks have also shown interest in the multifaceted talent.
“Aiming to be like Draymond Green,” Bell noted.
To say his ceiling is limitless would be an understatement of mass proportions.
Brooks was the Oregon star that everyone knew about for years. Yet, his stock continues to rise as teams begin to witness his work ethic and passion for the game.

So far, Brooks has worked out for the Pacers, Raptors and Blazers to name a few. Nevertheless, more are interested. Especially after Brooks’ words last week.
“I’m the most versatile player in the NBA Draft,” said Brooks.
Dorsey has garnered more attention than most thought he would receive. Every team has seemingly made a phone call about the Duck sharpshooter. Some believe he is still on fire from the tournament, which he illustrated with his game-high performance during Game 2 of the NBA Draft Combine.
The Greek International has worked out for the Milwaukee Bucks, Washington Wizards, Lakers, Raptors and Pacers. However, he is scheduled to workout for the Blazers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic in the next two weeks. More are sure to be knocking on his door before the draft deadline.
It’s surprising how many people are just noticing these Ducks now. It certainly took them some time to jump on bandwagon. Better late than never.
Not only are these Oregon stars great players, but they are better people. The Oregon reign is upon us, just like Jordan Bell predicted years ago.
