Track and Field: Pac-12 Championships

The NCAA Track and Field Championships start today, and the women are prohibitive favorites to win it all in Eugene.

If the women win, they will be the first school to pull off the single year triple crown (Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor) National Championships. This has been done a handful of times on the mens side (Arkansas), but I was surprised to learn no women’s team had ever done it.

More track and field, then men are not expected to contend (wah wah). Part of this is certainly the loss of King Ches, as no points are projected in the 5,000 or 10,000 meters, unusual for the Ducks.
