NCAA Track & Field Championships: Oregon Freshman Katie Rainsberger Advances to Final

First Duck woman to advance to a final on Thursday

EUGENE, Oregon — The Women of Oregon have begun to take flight at the NCAA Track & Field Championships on Thursday from the legendary Hayward Field. Day 2 brought Duck fans some early fireworks.

Freshman Katie Rainsberger started the second leg of Day 2 with the 1,500-meter semifinal. Thus far, she is the first woman from Oregon to qualify for a final on Thursday. The Duck finished in fourth place with a time of 4:19.21, advancing her to the 1500m final.
