EUGENE, Oregon — The Women of Oregon have begun to take flight at the NCAA Track & Field Championships on Thursday from the legendary Hayward Field. Day 2 brought Duck fans some early fireworks.
Freshman Katie Rainsberger started the second leg of Day 2 with the 1,500-meter semifinal. Thus far, she is the first woman from Oregon to qualify for a final on Thursday. The Duck finished in fourth place with a time of 4:19.21, advancing her to the 1500m final.
UO has more than 10 individual women going to work on Thursday, including the Women of Oregon 4x400m relay. The Ducks are on the pond in their own backyard. More Oregon women’s track and field coverage coming from Hayward Field.
