EUGENE, Oregon — The Women’s 800-meter team of Oregon dominated the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday from the legendary Hayward Field. Each earned a spot in the final with their individual first place finishes.
The Women’s 800m favorite Raevyn Rogers shined bright under the big lights during her second heat. She glided to victory in first place with a time of 2:05.63 to advance to the finals. Rogers led the 800m group from start to finish.
Incredibly, she will be seeking her third straight outdoor title on Saturday.
Teammate Brooke Feldmeier then won the third heat in the 800m. The Duck completed her race in 2:03.43. Her and Rogers head to the finals with the two fastest times from the group.
UO has more than 10 individual women going to work on Thursday, including the Women of Oregon 4x400m relay. Much more Oregon track and field coverage coming from Hayward Field this weekend.
