The Duck safeties have a lot more play calling responsibility than they have in the past. To that end, they are working on play calling and communication in loud environments.

Corner back Arrion Springs is looking forward to his senior season and calls himself a potential breakout player on defense. Arrion is looking to improve consistency and eliminate mental lapses this year.

To continue the theme of the above two links, Jim Leavitt says he sees improvement in the UO defense. After all, they couldn’t really get worse. Specifically Leavitt calls out the D Line and coach Joe Salave’a as doing a good job.

Practice report for Wednesday: After a week and a half of the defense having their way, the offense began to shine yesterday. Time to start panicking about the defense again.
