EUGENE, Oregon — Season ticket holders and donors were treated to barbeque and Oregon football practice under the lights at Autzen Stadium on Sunday. Willie Taggart wanted to run through a game day rehearsal with his staff and players.
The Ducks concluded their third week of fall training camp with a dry run outside of their normal practice facility. Taggart wanted to evaluate his team at Autzen just 13 days from opening day vs Southern Utah.
Originally the Ducks were scheduled to scrimmage in front of a small group of fans. With the amount of work the team has been putting in lately, Taggart decided to take it down a notch on Sunday.

Oregon participated in some live offensive and defensive group drills, alongside focused special teams work.
Freshman wide receiver Johnny Johnson III impressed fans and coaches alike with a few spectacular plays on Sunday evening. The No. 2 wide receiver prospect out of Arizona looks primed for a productive collegiate debut this season.
For a closer look at the freshman’s receiving skills, check out Twitter @TheQuackFiend this week. The Quack Addict will have a full slow motion video breakdown of Oregon’s improving wideout.
The Ducks will move their scheduled scrimmage to Tuesday afternoon at Autzen Stadium. Game prep for Southern Utah (9/2) will begin next weekend.
At the start of practice, linebacker Kaulana Apelu was awarded for his development and commitment with a scholarship by Taggart. The junior walked on as a freshman in 2015. That season, he appeared in all 13 games as a special teams ace.

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE DUCKS
Taggart has child-like excitement for Monday’s solar eclipse. He is going to make sure that his team is practicing at the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex during the event on Monday morning.
Yeah, I want to see it. Everyone talks about it and how it’s going to be dark at 10 o’clock, that’s pretty amazing to me. I want to see that. That’s going to be pretty cool. I’m going to make sure we’re practicing at that time so we all see that. How about that?
We'll continue to post interviews with Coach T and his coaches/players on a daily basis.
ATQ will have updates, breaking news, and photo/video live feeds on Twitter for the entirety of fall camp. The Quack Addict will give fans an inside look at Oregon football throughout the season.
