As noted by scout.com, Oregon football possesses the No. 1 recruiting class for 2018. With one tweet and a verbal commitment to the Ducks over Alabama on Friday from defensive prospect Malcolm Lamar, the best class just got a lot better.

Scout.com just released their updated rankings for the 2018 recruiting class on Saturday. Click this link to see where the Ducks and every other team in the nation are ranked.

Head coach Willie Taggart and his staff are certainly rolling in a tide of momentum since moving to Eugene. Not only does Taggart own the best recruiting class in his first year on the job, but he just landed an elite defender that chose Oregon over Nick Saban and Alabama. The Ducks are indeed doing something.

Lamar was a huge snag for Oregon, as their defensive line was the only area lacking a major commitment. Not to mention, there was very little depth with Jonathan King as the lone committed defensive lineman for the class of 2018.

The strong side defensive end will pair nicely with King, as they hope to create years of havoc up front at Autzen. Lamar is the No. 10 ranked defensive tackle by ESPN. According to scout.com, he's the No. 52 overall prospect in the country.

Only three spots remain for future prospects to join the revolution. Thus far, here is a look at the incoming talent for the nation’s top class for 2018 according to ESPN rankings.
