Andrew Greif takes a look at Justin Herbert and the unique factors and challenges that come with being a home grown star in the biggest sport in town.

Yesterday’s practice report touched on the story of Mattrell McGraw, and the Oregonian goes more in depth today. McGraw was injured in fall camp his freshman year in the same class as Royce Freeman and Charles Nelson, now he’s worked his way into starting.

Volleyball swept University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRVG) three games to none last night to start off the Oregon Classic Tournament. The tournament continues tonight at 8 PM against Loyola Marymount.

Yesterday’s practice report is included here. The practice was at a walk through pace, and Taggart met with the team Unity Council, which includes senior players and is meant to drive leadership.
