After one wild comeback followed by one dominant performance, Super Bowl LII has its participants. We’re getting a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX back in 2005 with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the New England Patriots.
Oregon is among a list of seven schools that have four or more players in this year’s Super Bowl. Stanford leads the list with five (three on the Patriots, two on the Eagles) while Oregon, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and West Virginia all have four players in the game.
Kenjon Barner, LeGarrette Blount and Joe Walker will represent Oregon for the Eagles (Walker is on injured reserve), while Patrick Chung is New England’s pro Duck.
Blount and Barner were teammates during the 2009 season, while Blount and Chung were teammates in 2008.
Blount and Chung already have a pair of Super Bowl rings with the Patriots from the 2014 and 2016 seasons, while this will be Barner’s first appearance in the Super Bowl.
