That’s right!
Yesterday, the Oregon Hockey team beat the washington huskies, 4 - 2.
Ducks lead 3-0 after the first and we are feeling good!

Sophomore Connor Rendell scored twice in the first thanks to assists by sophomore Connor Hoernlein, the very same Hoernlein that gave the Ducks a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.
And no, that wasn’t a typo. We have two elite scorers named Connor. This opportunity for a clever duo-nickname should not be taken for granted, so I propose that the commentariat of ATQ get to work on this ASAP!
Despite the fact that Oregon took a 3-0 lead within the first 18 minutes, the game still had a period of suspense. The huskies scored their first goal with a minute left in the second period. Then, with five minutes left in the game, washington cut Oregon’s lead to one.
Luckily, the last laugh would belong to the Ducks. Desperate for a game tying-goal, the huskies elected to send out their goalie and Oregon was able to score, effectively icing the game with 41 seconds left.
The Ducks are now 3-1 on the season.
