Last week, the ATQ community was 61% right in the pick ems but only 48% right against the spread. Let’s give it another go, shall we?
UTAH @ UCLA

TIME/CHANNEL: Friday, 7:30 PM, ESPN
RECORDS: No. 23 Utah (5-2, 3-2) / UCLA (2-5, 2-2)
LAST WEEK: Despite having a loss to both Washington schools, the Utah Utes look to be evolving into a PAC-12 powerhouse. They thoroughly dismantled USC and appear to be the most balanced team in the conference. That being said, UCLA has also been improving rapidly and somehow are still in the running for the PAC-12 South. Can Utah continue their trajectory toward their first PAC-12 Championship game? Or will UCLA make it three in a row after starting 0-5?

LAST WEEK: We all knew this would be a painful rebuilding year for the Beavers, and boy has it. Fans expected more than the Beavers’ 49-7 loss to California, especially after an encouraging game against Wazzu followed by a bye week. Colorado, on the other hand, still has plenty to fight for in the wild PAC-12 South. The absence of Laviska Shenault Jr. forced Steven Montez and company to get a little more creative with their offense against Washington, which may have helped them in the long run, especially if Shenault doesn’t return this season. Can Oregon State get their first conference win? Can Colorado score big without their star receiver?

LAST WEEK: The Sun Devils lost another one-score game. However, Herm Edwards and ASU are surprisingly still in the running for a PAC-12 Championship; should ASU win-out and Colorado drop two games, the Sun Devils would rise from the very bottom of the South Division to the very top. The Trojans are especially vulnerable at the moment after Utah injured both their starting quarterback and his backup. Can Arizona State make a miraculous midseason comeback? Will redshirt freshman Jack Sears be adequate at QB?

LAST WEEK: The huskies have been good, not great, all season. California has struggled to be mediocre at times, especially in their passing game. Both teams are coming off good wins against inferior opponents, but it’s hard not to feel more impressed with Washington’s very Washington win over the Buffaloes. California may have scored a season-high 49 points last week, but a big win over the Beaver’s should give no team comfort. Can Washington prove it belongs among the elite by taking care of business? Or will California finish this game one-win away from bowl eligibility?

RECORDS: No. 14 Washington State (6-1, 3-1) / No. 24 Stanford (5-2, 3-1)
LAST WEEK: The PAC-12 game of the week deserves a much better platform than the PAC-12 Network, but it’ll have to do. Stanford is coming off a perfectly boring win over ASU despite the fact that David Shaw still believes his team is good at running the ball. The Cougars, I believe, are coming off a once-in-a-lifetime win, though I can’t for the life of me remember who it was against? Will Washington State prove to be the PAC-12’s only shot at a playoff bid? Will Stanford do the smart thing and copy Wazzu’s playbook for the rest of the season?

TIME/CHANNEL: 7:30 PM, ESPN
RECORDS: No. 19 Oregon (5-2, 2-2) / Arizona (3-5, 2-3)
LAST WEEK: I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone on ATQ that Oregon is coming off a gut-wrenching loss to the Cougs. Though Justin Herbert’s late game heroics should comfort fans to an extent, the game showcased a lot of Oregon’s most obvious flaws in all phases of the game. Luckily, Arizona doesn’t look like a team that can consistently do anything. We likely won’t know whether Khalil Tate or RhettRod will start until game day, but what we do know is that this team has looked disorganized even in their wins. Will Oregon be able to forget about last week’s loss and return to their winning ways? Or will PAC-12 after dark strike again?
