Volleyball earned the 15th seed in the NCAA tournament and the right to host the first two rounds in Eugene. Oregon faces New Mexico State in the first round and the winner of Hawaii / Baylor in the second round assuming they advance.
Basketball will host Texas Southern tonight for the second year in a row. Last year Oregon escaped with a closer than it should have been victory. Texas Southern is 1-4 on the year so far.
Oregon defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt is being mentioned as a candidate for multiple head coaching vacancies. Kansas, Colorado, and Texas Tech have all fired their coaches with Leavitt rumored as an early option at each spot. Kansas has since hired a new coach.
