Steve Mims writes that the Duck basketball team is on upset alert tonight against San Diego State. San Diego State has four senior starters and is ranked in the top fifty nationally heading into the game.

Will Richardson has emerged as a freshman starter in the backcourt alongside veteran Payton Pritchard and it’s helped the Duck offense and ball movement. Richardson got a late start to the season due to a foot injury.

Women’s basketball plays at South Dakota tonight looking to bounce back from a loss at Michigan State. South Dakota already has a win over a ranked team this year after defeating 21st ranked Drake.
