Oregon beat ASU in men’s basketball last night 75-68. The Ducks were lead by Kenny Wooten with 4 blocks and Elijah Brown with 19 points. Oregon took a 43-40 lead into the second half on a Brown 3 pointer after which ASU would not lead again.

Speaking basketball, the college basketball corruption scandal is spanning far and wide and looks like it will hit Pac 12 schools Uw and USC. Perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that a chronically underachieving team in washington was cheating to land their annual lottery pick.

Women’s basketball is at ASU tonight, where it has not won a game since the 1999-2000 season. A win at ASU would clinch at least a share of the regular season conference title which Oregon women have not done, also since the 1999-2000 season.

Softball will face some tests this weekend as they play in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs and face 4 ranked teams in three days. The difficult early season schedule is a reaction to recent CWS losses, coach White felt that the team needed to be tested earlier and more often in the preseason.
