Quack Fix 2-6-18: Preseason Rankings

Both Oregon men’s and women’s are currently ranked in the top ten for indoor track in this weeks updated rankings. The women are ranked third and defending national champions while the men are ranked 10th.

Oregon acrobatics and tumbling won their opening match of the season in Wisconsin against Concordia University Wisconsin. The final score was 267.890-225.305 which marks the largest victory margin in school history.

Oregon softball is the preseason favorite to win the Pac 12 title this year. Oregon was second last year by a half game to Arizona, but had won the previous 4 conference titles. Oregon is also looking to better their run to the semifinals of the college world series.

Did you know that we have a lacrosse team? Neither did I. They’re picked to finish 4th in the conference in what is apparently the inaugural conference season. Since there’s no baseline, I assume these preseason rankings carry less weight than the typical preseason rankings.
