The Oregon women finished fifth at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend. The Ducks totaled 31 points, one point shy of fourth place, the top four teams earn a trophy for their performance. The meet was highlighted for the Ducks by Sabrina Southerland’s surprise victory in the 800 and a team victory in the Distance Medley Relay. Southerland was ranked 16th coming into the meet.
Oregon men’s basketball will play Rider in the first round of the NIT tournament at Mathew Knight Arena. The Ducks earned a three seed in the tournament while Rider is a six seed after winning it’s conference regular season but falling in the quarterfinals of it’s conference tournament.
Megan Kleist threw her second consecutive no hitter in a 6-0 victory over Montana. The Ducks are now 21-4 and ranked 3rd and 6th nationally by two separate ranking services.
