Oregon coaches and players say that having Jim Leavitt back means good things for the defense. For the first time in three years the team isn’t spending the spring learning an entirely new defense, but rather is working on specifics, and technique, and improving play in the defense.

New Oregon strength and conditioning coach Aaron Feld talks about his strength program, his background at Alabama and Georgia, and his mustache. Feld is designing a different program than last year and is focused more on flexibility and mobility than adding mass.

Sabrina Ionescu is one of four finalists for the Wade Trophy. The Award is given annually to the women’s college basketball player of the year. Ionescu has already been named the Pac 12 player of the year and joins the ACC, Big 10, and AAC players of the year as finalists for the national award.

Yesterday’s football practice report is here. The practice had refs present with the instruction to throw as many flags as possible as the team works on eliminating the penalty problem of last year.
