The women’s basketball team sees several parallels between their run to the elite eight last year and Central Michigan’s run this year. The coaches and players both recognize that seed is not important and that Central Michigan is a very good team.

Kenny Wooten has formally announced that he will return to Oregon next year without testing the waters of the NBA draft. Wooten was not likely a serious draft candidate this year, but the news confirms that Oregon will have a significant interior defensive presence.

Kenyon Jovan will make his first start for the Oregon baseball team this weekend as Oregon hosts Cal at PK Park. The move comes after Oregon got swept at ASU this weekend with starting pitchers giving up 9 earned run in less than five innings of work.

The Duck track team will be in San Diego this weekend to open the outdoor season. Only the sprinters, jumpers, and throwers will make this trip, while the distance runners will open next weekend at Stanford.
