Tony Brooks-James talks about the competition for the starting running back job in the absence of Royce Freeman. Brooks-James says that he is approaching it with a rookie mindset and not taking anything for granted about winning the starting job. Also of note is that Cristobal says the running game is further along right now than at this point last year.
The Oregon women’s track team has held firmly onto their #2 national ranking while the men feel two spots, from 4th to 6th, in the most recent update.
Yesterday’s practice report is here. The report includes Cristobal’s thoughts on where the team is and who has stood out so far. As of now, the coach is impressed with the development of the defensive line and the linebackers.
Softball travels to play #7 ASU Sundevils this weekend for a three game series. ASU is currently 33-5 and matches the Ducks with a 7-2 record in conference play.
