Quack Fix 4-9-18: Xiong Wins 3rd Straight

Lacrosse took a victory over #16 USC on Senior Showcase night, 18-11. The win was Oregon’s first over a ranked opponent since 2008 and came in the sports inaugural season as a full varsity sport. The 18 goals scored was the second most ever scored against USC.

Track and Field swept the men’s and women’s competitions at the Pepsi Team Invitational this weekend. The women scored 185 points to beat out BYU / WSU who tied for second, while 171 from the men beat out 160 from BYU.

Oregon football scrimmaged in Portland this weekend. Among other things, the players were impressed by the recently renovated facilities at Portland’s Franklin High School. Justin Herbert looks good and there appear to be some solid options at wide receiver.

Normon Xiong has now won three straight tournaments. The most recent victory came thanks to a birdie on the third playoff hole. Oregon finished in 6th place in the team competition.
