The weekend sweep of Cal gave Oregon softball it’s fifth conference championship in the past six years. Oregon was a 1⁄2 game out of the conference title last year, but won the previous four years.
When it comes to winning conference championships, however, men’s track has that figured out. Oregon men won their 12th straight conference championship this weekend. Unfortunately the women had their run of nine straight titles ended by USC.
Baseball swept Utah with a win on Sunday. The sweep was the first for the Ducks this spring and brought the team back above .500 for the season. Oregon recovered from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits over the course of the game to come away with the win.
The top rated recruit in the state of Oregon, Patrick Herbert, committed to Oregon. Patrick is a 4 star tight end and younger brother of UO QB Justin Herbert. The addition moves Oregon’s class to 20th nationally best in the conference.
