The Oregon Ducks landed another commitment on the defensive side of the ball. Isaac Townsend has the right size for an effective pass rusher in Leavitt’s Defense (6’6”, 235) and is the 42nd best Weak-Side Defensive End in the class of 2019 according to 247, as well as the fourth best prospect from Colorado.

Townsend is from Arvada, Colorado and played for Ralston Valley High School. His primary recruiter was Cort Dennison, who lured the recruit away from Washington State, Virginia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Boise State.
At this point in time, the Ducks have the 10th best recruiting class of 2019, though it goes without saying that everything is tentative in the world of college recruiting. Oregon fans should be impressed with what Cristobal and his staff have accomplished so far: They have the best 2019 class out of all of the PAC-12 schools, they have six four stars currently committed, and a recruiting staff that has already proven themselves as elite recruiters.
