The Oregon Ducks got some good news on Friday night, when Jaron Waters of Oxnard, California committed to the Ducks. Though Waters has another year of growth before he plays for Oregon, the 6’3” 185 pound receiver would already be among the tallest at his position.

247sports has him listed as the 97th ranked Wide Receiver, and the 75th ranked player out of California. Waters played receiver at Oxnard High School, where he also played on the basketball team. Offensive Coordinator Marcus Arroyo is credited as his primary recruiter.

At the time of publication, Oregon holds the 10th best class of 2019 according to 247. The Ducks are sandwiched between No. 9 Georgia and No. 11 Texas. Mario Cristobal and his staff have assembled the best class of the PAC-12 (currently 14 spots higher than the No. 24 ranked Washington huskies), and have also surpassed their former boss Willie Taggart and the No. 12 ranked Florida State Seminoles.
