Oregonlive reports that Royce Freeman is pushing for the starting job with the Denver Broncos in his rookie season. Denver released their leading rusher from last season and Royce is competing with Devontae Booker, the teams returning backup.

Oregonlive discusses the departure of Oregon softball coach Mike White. Coach White says that it came down to financial security for his family, though he also says it was very difficult to leave without winning a national title.

Norman Xiong was named to the All Nicklaus team. Norman is the third Duck to receive the honor since 2008 and did so on the back of breaking a program record for wins in a single season.
