Austin Meek argues that when the NCAA Championships return to Eugene after a two year absence in 2020 and 2021 while the stadium is under construction that the NCAA should consider making Eugene the annual home of the meet officially.
Sabrina Southerland is the favorite to win the NCAA title at 800 meters. Sabrina won the indoor title at the same distance and posted the fastest time in the nation outdoors so far. The 800 is an unpredictable event, but this would mark the fourth time in the past five years a Duck has swept the women’s indoor and outdoor 800 titles.
Oregon women are in contention to defend their national title from last year, though not the favorite they have been in the past. The most recent form chart has the Ducks at 3rd nationally behind Georgia and USC.
Early over under win totals have been released for about half of the Pac 12 schools. Oregon and USC are tied with 8.5 projected wins while Uw leads the way with 10.5 projected wins.
