Quack Fix 7-17-18: Award Watch Lists

Prepping for football season with preseason award watch lists. Justin Herbert has been named to the watch list for the Maxwell award, given to the top football player in the country, and Troy Dye and Jalen Jelks have been named to the watch list for the Bednarik award for the nations best defensive player.

Oregon has hired a new cross country and distance events coach for the track and field team. Ben Thomas comes from Virginia Tech, where he has held the same job for 17 years.

College football playoff odds are available, with Oregon coming in at 25/1 odds to make the playoff this year. Oregon’s odds are the same as Florida, TCU and Texas A&M. Alabama is the favorite with 1/2 odds.
