At this point we here at ATQ are just waiting for the bad news, but for now, let us bask in Cristobal’s recruiting glory as yet another high profile recruit joins the ranks of the U of O!
Elijah Blades is the nation’s second best prospect at cornerback, the second best player our of California and the seventh best player nationally- according to 247. Furthermore, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back from Pasadena is considered the nation’s No. 1 juco cornerback. Cornerbacks coach Donte Williams is credited as the primary recruiter.
Oregon remains at the No. 4 spot in 247’s 2019 recruiting class rankings, but that is likely to change after the upcoming Saturday Night Live event at Autzen. Will the Ducks be able to surpass Oklahoma for third place this weekend?

OFFER LIST
Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, UNLV
2018 HIGHLIGHTS
His freshman highlights show a lot of interceptions returned for serious yardage, though his performances on special teams are what really catch the eye. Blades has the speed to return a kick to the house and the physicality to knock back a return man five yards.
It’s also nice to see how aggressive he is at the get go, when receivers try to blow past him. He could end up having a more physically dominating presence than our current cornerbacks, though he could stand to add some muscle and lbs. If only we had a mustachioed body builder on staff...
Current List of 2019 Commits
Malesala Aumavae-Laulu, OL (No. 1 JUCO Transfer)
Mase Funa 4* OLB
Keyon Ware-Hudson 4* DT
Jayvaun Wilson 3* ATH
