As a Duck fan first and sports journalist second, it’s a good feeling when covering 4-Star commitments becomes a frequent hassle. Ge’Mon Eaford, Oregon’s most recent commit for the class of 2019, should have the Autzen faithful cheering in no time.
At 6’0, 217-pounds, the prospect from Deerfield Beach, Florida already has the raw talent to take serious advantage of Jim Leavitt’s defense (assuming Leavitt is still around.) According to 247, he is the 11th ranked outside linebacker, the 23rd best from Florida, and the 179th overall.

RECRUITING RANKINGS
Ge’Mon Eaford’s commitment brings Oregon’s 2019 class to No. 4 in the country, right behind Georgia, Alabama, and Texas A&M, according to 247. The Ducks 19 commitments give Oregon the best class in the PAC-12, well ahead of No. 29 Washington, No. 36 Colorado, No. 38 California, No. 42 Stanford, and No. 43 USC.

2018 HIGHLIGHTS
Out of all the hudl footage I’ve watched over these last couple of months, Eaford has impressed me the most. He’s played defensive end and outside linebacker. The most impressive thing about young Eaford (besides his giant offer list), is his pass rushing ability. He is fast, aggressive, and regularly sacked the crap out of high school QBs.
His athleticism gives him the ability to single-handedly force turnovers. ATQ has a feeling that, should Eaford stay committed, he will see playing time immediately.
