Message from the ‘Stache: ATQ Summer Recap

New, comments

The offseason has been long and uneventful, but lack of meaningful content will never stop ATQ!

Greetings, Duck Fans!

It’s that time of the year again, the time when Duck fans awaken from their offseason slumber and once again join the pitch-fork-wielding, pun-thread-making, panic-inducing rabble of Addicted to Quack.

ATQ has gone through as much change as the Oregon coaching staff in recent years, but have no fear, Mariota’s Mustache is ready to return this site to its former glory!

Here’s what you may have missed during the offseason.

Meet Our Writing Staff

Daisyduck- She is our Supreme Ruler and all will bow to her. Daisy will not be posting weekly, but when she does you will click, comment and praise her work. Her writing tends to cover the inner-workings of ATQ and its history- we are very lucky she’s a Duck fan (please don’t ban me, Daisy.)

Adam Holland- Adam Holland is our human interest writer. We strive to be much more than just a football blog. Holland has covered the departure and hiring of a plethora of Oregon coaches, the destruction of Hayward Field, NBA ducks, football prospects and much more. His versatility is a welcome addition to this staff.

Joseph Yun- Mr. Yun has been gracious enough to share his football expertise with us, and has written damn near every one of our position write ups. He’s also written about our new coaching staff and will be publishing weekly articles about our webfoots. Side Note: he also covers Mariota at the Titan's SB Nation site! So maybe he can convince Marcus to become a mod here.

RB Stewart- Los Patos, errrr, I mean RB Stewart has covered a wide variety of subjects. From the history of Oregon to the weekly fitness article, Stewart has produced some of ATQ’s most intriguing articles of the past couple of months.

Akili’s Heel- What’s there to say about ATQ’s most consistent contributor? Sure, he posts links that absolutely no one (and I mean no one) reads, but what would this site be without a 200-comment pun thread? Nothing- that’s what it’d be. So click the links! Click the ads! Buy the stuff! Repeat! (brought to you by VOX’s sponsors.)

Hythloday- Hopefully, some of you are already familiar with Hythloday’s work on reddit, but for those of you that aren’t let me be the first to tell you that we are lucky to have them. This site has been missing in-depth football analysis for some time now. Hythloday puts in an impressive amount of time and effort in their breakdowns, and we all need to let them know how much we appreciate them before they run off to the Athletic.

Adam Chimeo- What he lacks in writing prowess he makes up for with good looks and a comical amount of spelling/grammatical errors.

ATQ Fitness Challenge

RB Stewart would like you to join him and a slew of other ATQers in the “Witness the Fitness” challenge. Got an over-inflated spare tire you’d like to unload? Trying to get into gameday shape before Bowling Green? Or would you like some encouragement as you work to improve any aspect of your mental or physical health?

It’s not too late to join Witness the Fitness! All you have to do is set a goal for yourself, then comment in the weekly WTF article and let us know how you’re doing! Let’s support our Ducks by supporting each other!

Quack 12 Podcast

This Oregon Duck podcast could be the dumbest shit ever recorded, but it’s weekly. Join your hosts Mariota’s Mustache, Managing Editor of Addicted to Quack, and Aaron Schroeder, CEO of Pierced Ears Records, as they blab about the past, present, and future of Oregon sports.

One host watches every Duck sport under the sun, the other has never seen a college football game on TV in its entirety. How long can this insane experiment last? Apparently at least 51 episodes.

ATQ’s Goals for Future Coverage

Our goals for this upcoming football season are simple:

-Post at least one quality article a day.

-Cover damn near every sport that the U of O participates in (and golf if we have to.)

-Host a wide variety of discussions in our comment section.

-Show support for our Ducks!

-Make sure the fuskies never again win a National Championship.

-Not take ourselves too seriously.

Let us know if you have any concerns, questions, comments, rants, compliments or suggestions for the site! And if you haven’t yet, become a member! It’s free and a great way to waste time!
