Per Matt Prehm of DuckTerritory.com (The Oregon 247sports affiliate), now former wide receivers coach Michael Johnson accepted the same job at Mississippi State.
This was a fast moving hire as the job was open for less than two days. Coach Johnson was in Mississippi interviewing for the position during the weekend.

Coach Johnson was a Willie Taggart hire that was retained by current head coach Mario Cristobal. He owes Oregon nothing on the buyout as his Ducks contract stated that he owed 0 if he left after the 2018 bowl game (courtesy of 247 Sports).
In terms of recruiting, Johnson was involved either as a primary or secondary recruiter for four recruits in this cycle. one of which was an early enrollee and the other three were early signees. It remains to be seen if these recruits enter their name in the now infamous transfer portal.
Duck Territory has a hot board for the now vacant position here with some notable names
