Men’s basketball defeated UT Arlington last night by a score of 67-47. The Ducks were lead by 24 points from Payton Pritchard but were keyed on defense by a trio of freshmen. C.J. Walker, Chandler Lawson and Addison Patterson entered the game in the first half and immediately helped Oregon to a 16-5 run that opened the game up.
Women’s basketball cruised past Texas Southern with a margin of 99-63. The Ducks were lead by the 19th career triple double from Sabrina Ionescu and a 31-13 double double from Ruthy Hebard.
Volleyball dropped two matches this weekend to the Arizona schools. The Ducks fell in five sets to ASU in a match where they had multiple match points, and were swept by Arizona on Friday.
Oregonlive offers 10 takeaways from the football victory over Arizona. Included are the strength of the defense holding a Sumlin coached team to less than 7 points, the problems at kicker, and the continued emergence of Juwan Johnson.
