The East-West Shrine Game is another of the premier postseason events that invites some of the best seniors in the nation. It is held the week prior to the Senior Bowl.
Numerous players in this game have gone on to have success in the NFL. Some even get called up to the Senior Bowl after standout performances in Tampa.
The event is held at Tropicana Field, the home of MLB's Tampa Bay Rays.
Former Ducks EDGE Justin Hollins won defensive MVP honors at the 2019 event. He parlayed that into being a draft pick of the Denver Broncos.
Johnson joins a pretty good list of committed players such as Minnesota WR Tyler Johnson, Florida WR Van Jefferson, Texas OL Zach Shackleford, and Wake Forest OL Justin Herron.
Johnson has posted 18 receptions for 299 yards and four touchdowns to date for the Ducks. He has become a vital weapon for Justin Herbert.
Congrats, Juwan!
