Post season awards keep coming in for Penei Sewell, who won the Outland trophy for best interior lineman, offense and defense, in the nation. Sewell defeated fellow finalists Derrick Brown of Auburn and Tyler Biadasz of Wisconsin for the award. Sewell is the first Duck to win the award and just the third Duck finalist.
Women’s basketball will face Long Beach State tomorrow in Long Beach. Long Beach is 3-6 to start the year and lead by Justina King with almost 13 points per game. The Ducks then come back home for a game Monday against South Dakota State.
N’Faly Dante has joined the Men’s basketball team and will travel to Michigan, but will not play as he hasn’t practiced with the team yet. The Ducks hope that Dante can be ready to join the team for conference play, which begins in about three weeks.
