The #3 Oregon Ducks (10-1, 6-0 Home) defended Matt Knight Arena from the visiting Kansas State Wildcats (5-5, 1-2 Away), defeating them 89 to 51. Sabrina Ionescu earned her second consecutive triple-double to add to her career total of 21, an NCAA record.
The Ducks were challenged early by the Wildcats; Kansas State trailed by just four points at the end of the first quarter, and at the 7:44 mark in the second quarter a pair of free throws by Peyton Williams gave them their first and last lead of the game.
Erin Boley hit all four of Oregon’s made three-pointers of the first half: the first triple reclaimed the lead at 19-18, the second and third were back-to-back buckets to extend the lead to 12 amid a 10-point run by the Ducks in the middle of the second, and her final made shot from three-point land came with 37 seconds left in the half.

Sabrina Ionescu earned her triple-double late in the third quarter, tallying 21 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. The Ducks as a team outscored their opponent 31 to 14 in the third, setting up for a final quarter that featured a lot of valuable bench time.
Satou Sabally played her first game back from a shoulder injury that kept her out of the last couple of games. She finished with 14 points and looked especially lethal near the post. Ruthy Hebard had a tough time against the Wildcat interior defense, recording seven points and seven rebounds.
Holly Winterburn and Lucy Cochrane scored six apiece and the bench as a unit recorded 22 points. Morgan Yaeger was the only other player to hit a triple on a night where the Ducks struggled from long range, finishing 5-of-16. Oregon’s three-point defense held up well, keeping the Wildcats to 8.3% and 31.3% from the floor.
After trailing by two in the second, Oregon ended with a 38-point lead, their largest of the night. An exhibition game against Corban on Dec. 28th at Matt Knight is the only game that remains before conference play starts against Colorado on January 3rd.
