Talkin’ Tall Firs: Civil War (Round 2)

A Historic In-State Battle Goes Down This Saturday

Only one game for the Ducks this week and it’s an important one for the state of Oregon. Oregon State won the first matchup against U of O back in early January, 77-72. Tres Tinkle was the leading scorer for the Beavers with 28 points on 4-8 3PT. He also grabbed 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Louis King had his first career double-double against OSU with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

That was the first PAC-12 conference matchup for both teams. Oregon has been 6-4 since then and sit 5th in the conference standings. Oregon State has also been 6-4 since that first game in conference play and now are in 3rd place in the PAC-12. This game is very important for seeding in the PAC-12 Tournament as U of O is only 1 game behind OSU in the standings. Remember, the first 4 teams in the PAC-12 standings get a first-round bye straight into the quarterfinals.
