Austin Meek shares the history of the humble beginnings of women’s basketball at both Oregon and Oregon State, when the programs were created in 1972 in the wake of Title IX. The women’s teams initially were relegated to second or third class in all aspects of the program, relative to the men’s teams.

Women’s basketball completes the second leg of the Civil War series tonight in Corvallis. Oregon defeated Oregon State on Friday night and as a result will be going for the season sweep.

Baseball fell at Texas Tech 6-4 after giving away early 3-0 and 4-1 leads. Oregon fell to 1-2 for the season with the loss. The Ducks play Texas Tech again on today to try and even the series.

Austin Meek hammers the basketball team as uninspiring and unwatchable, and honestly, he’s not wrong. Oregon lost by 15 to Oregon State on Saturday in a game that they lead by 7 in the first half for the latest disappointment of the year.
