Steve Mims looks into the changes on the men’s basketball team that lead to the current 8 game winning streak. Oregon was 15-12 and floundering when a switch seemingly flipped. Coach Altman says he’s never had a team change so drastically in as short a period of time.

Oregon women will open their tournament play on Friday in Eugene against Portland State. Oregon is 6-2 in the NCAA tournament under Kelly Graves, with back to back runs to the Elite 8 in the NCAA tournament.

New defensive coordinator Andy Avalos started out spring practices by installing a four man front. The system will be a base three man front, as was run under previous DC Jim Leavitt, but will have added flexibility. Avalos is making an effort to carry over some concepts and language from the previous scheme in order to ease the transition.
