Football had their second scrimmage of spring practice on Saturday. The scrimmage was closed to the public, but coach Cristobal noted that both sides of the ball executed better than they did in the first, public, scrimmage. The spring game is this coming Saturday.
Softball lost the last two games of the series against #1 ranked UCLA in softball after upsetting the bruins to take the first game of the series. The Ducks were tied with the Bruins going into the sixth inning of the final game before giving up a seven run inning that sealed the game and the series.
Baseball gave WSU their first conference win of the year in extra innings, but still took the series, 2-1. Oregon forced extra innings with a grand slam in the 9th inning, but allowed the winning run on a passed ball in the 10th.
