The Dallas Cowboys have selected former Duck EDGE Jalen Jelks in the seventh round

How he fits the Cowboys

Jelks will need earn his way onto the roster that has a stacked defensive end room featuring star Demarcus Lawrence, Taco Charlton, Dorance Armstrong, Christian Covington, and Robert Quinn.

He has his work cut out for him just to make it to the practice squad due to the strong depth the Cowboys have at his position.

Jelks has had a poor offseason and the late selection is a reflection of that. He’s a talent so he’ll get a couple of looks if it doesn’t work out for him in Dallas.
