Next year’s Women’s Basketball team will feature a cast of familiar faces, but the need to restock the talent pool is growing with the inevitable departure of two of Oregon’s most legendary players, seniors Ruthy Hebard and Sabrina Ionescu, followed by juniors Satou Sabally, Erin Boley, Lydia Giomi and Morgan Yaeger.
If coach Kelly Graves and crew hope to stay atop the world of women’s hoop and the cut-throat PAC-12, they’ll need to find some young standouts in 2020.
So far, they’ve done just that by establishing four verbal commits. their latest being Maddie Scherr, the 5’ 11, five-star combo guard from Florence, Kentucky. She is the 25th best prospect by both Prospects Nation and ESPN and chose Oregon despite interest from Duke, North Carolina, Indiana, UCLA, and Louisville.

Scherr joins fellow guards Sydney Parrish and Te-Hina Paopao as well as forward Angela Dugalic as the four current verbal commitments for the 2020 season. All three guards are rated in Prospect Nation’s Top 25 while Dugalic has earned high regards for her play as a forward.
