Carmela Cardama Baez finished second in the 10,000 for the Oregon women’s track team last night in dramatic fashion. Baez moved up from 8th place to shoulder to shoulder for the lead over the last mile of the race before falling by a second to the heavy pre race favorite.

In addition to Cardama Baez’s finish in the 10,000, Oregon advanced three additional runners, scored two points in the long jump, and advanced their 4x100 meter relay to the Saturday finals of the NCAA track meet, scheduled for Saturday.

Oregonlive projects Bol Bol going 10th overall in the NBA mock draft to the Atlanta Hawks. The article notes Bol Bol as a better athlete and more talented player than his father with the big red flag of big man with foot problems.
