Quack Fix 8-12-19: Track Transfers

Redbox Bowl - Michigan State v Oregon
SANTA CLARA, CA - DECEMBER 31: CJ Verdell #34 of the Oregon Ducks takes the handoff from quarterback Justin Herbert #10 against the Michigan State Spartans during the second half of the Redbox Bowl at Levi’s Stadium on December 31, 2018 in Santa Clara, California.

Men’s track and field has lost three top hurdlers to transfer in this off season. In addition to reigning Pac 12 champion Eric Edwards, who’s transfer was noted when it occurred, Oregon has lost the 2018 Pac 12 Champion in Braxton Canady as well as Joseph Anderson, who qualified for this years NCAA Championships.

GoDucks offers three takeaways from the first scrimmage of the fall for the football team. Included are newcomers showing well, further promise from the wide receiver group, and a defense that forced turnovers (OUR OFFENSE SUCKS, PANIC!).

Oregonlive reports that the running back group looks significantly better right now than it did at this time last year. The year of experience looks to have improved returning leaders CJ Verdell and Travis Dye, while newcomers like Sean Dollars add quality depth and competition at the position.
